Bob and Káren Heinrichs

Bob and Káren Heinrichs both were raised in New Church societies - Bob in Kitchener, Ontario and Káren in Pittsburgh, PA. They have been active in the Church all their lives. After teaching and coaching in Canada for nine years Bob was asked to come to the Academy where he taught in the Boys School before moving full-time to the College.

Geoffrey Cooper

Geoffrey Cooper is a familiar figure in town. If you have ever been out on Huntingdon Pike early in the morning and seen a tall lanky gentleman picking up trash, that would be Geoffrey Cooper. Geoffrey has been keeping Bryn Athyn, the Church and community grounds clean of trash for 60 years.

Vera Powell Glenn says "My family has been associated with the New Church and education for a long time. It's in my blood and in my heart. My so many-times great grandfather, a minister in the Church of the New Jerusalem, may have had the first New Church School in Ohio in the early 1800s.

Sarah Headsten

Sarah Headsten grew up, one of four girls, in Glenview, Illinois. When she was a junior she came to the Academy of the New Church as a boarding student. She said, "I was the lucky one." Sarah spent two years at the Academy and then two years at Bryn Athyn College before returning to the Midwest to attend Northwestern University.

Doris Brickman Millam

Doris Brickman Millam, a member of the Boynton Beach Society, is originally from Glenview, Illinois where she lived for many years working as a single mother of two children. Doris was educated as a nurse and spent a good part of her career specializing in education and intravenous therapy until she retired 1999 to Florida to be near her twin sister, Audrey.

Mary Lou Williamson

Mary Lou Williamson was born in Niles, Ohio (between Youngstown and Warren), flat country uninteresting country. She went to public school. Her father was an engineer at GE. They moved to Bryn Athyn where he took a job with the Budd Company until 1946 when he left Budd to work at the Civic and Social Club.
